Dr Lucia Cervi is lecturer in Organisation Studies at The University of Edinburgh Business School, with a background in political science, human rights, and Corporate Social Responsibility. She is broadly interested in the social aspect of sustainability, from a critical and qualitative perspective. Her research focuses on the ethical implications of digitalisation, the digital and social vulnerabilities emerging from FinTech, and the socio-political implications of technology-driven practices. She has been the recipient of UKRI SPRITE+ funding on digital vulnerability as well as the UEBS’ 2025 Large Grant Enabler Fund for her work on Buy Now Pay Later digital platforms. Her work has been published in Gender, Work & Organization, Information and Organization, and Journal of Business Ethics. She is Associate Editor in the Emerging Scholar Review Board for Gender, Work and Organization, and honorary fellow at Durham University.
