At a time when gendered violence is intensifying the world over, we invite you to join us in launching our timely anthology combining arts-based interventions with scholarship, activism, testimony, and lived experience to address it. Offering both insight and inspiration, Feminists Resisting Gendered Violence highlights feminist collaboration across borders as a crucial resource for understanding and challenging violence in the present. Hear from the authors and editors as we share excerpts from the creative, critical, collective, and transnational pieces in our volume and a live recital by singer-songwriter Karine Polwart whose piece features in the anthology.

Part of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence 2026 (Nov 25-Dec 10).

Organised by the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, co-badged by GENDER.ED.

Registration

This is a free event, which means we overbook to allow for no-shows and to avoid empty seats. While we generally do not have to turn people away, this does mean we cannot guarantee everyone a place. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note, filming, recording and/or photography may take place at this event.
