At GENDER.ED, we know that it has been difficult for everyone at University of Edinburgh- but especially Early Career Researchers –  to build and foster a sense of community over the past twenty months.

To help to address this, the GENDER.ED team has come up with the idea of ECR mini-mixers: facilitating social connection and networking amongst small groups of gender scholars (PhDs, post-docs, and new lecturers).  If you contact us (see below), we will assign up to four individuals into a group and e-introduce you. As a group, you will then be able to plan your own catch-ups – be it in person or online.

All doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, and new lecturers in any subject area conducting research in gender and sexualities, or with research themes of gender and sexualities, are welcome to sign up. Let us know your preferences and availability here.
